book chapter
Extant literature has never attempted to determine the level of logistics that optimises each type of utility. This study sought to determine the differential influence of each level of logistics on each type of utility. A survey was conducted among 306 horticultural traders. The data were statistically analysed. Hypothesis testing was conducted using factorial MANOVA. The results indicated that most of the utility is derived from 1PL than by 3PL. The study therefore recommended the use of 1PL in order to derive all forms of utility considering that agricultural commodities are highly perishable.
