In this research, we reviewed the notion of soft set and some of its application in decision making cases and observed that, there is need to introduce weighted parameterized soft set and its applications in real-life decision-making processes. Since in real-life situations not all decision parameters (attributes) are of the same significance. Hence the decision maker(s) tends to impose more weights to parameters of interest. The algebra of weighted soft set is presented and some fundamental results were established with relevant examples and illustrations. Various De Morgan’s kinds of results with respect to the following operations, union, extended intersection, and restricted union, restricted intersection were also proved in the background of weighted soft set context
