Abstract

Restaurants are progressively utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to alleviate and resolve the persistent challenges of protracted wait times, manufacturing errors, supply chain complications, and labor shortages. Although the standard understanding of artificial intelligence in restaurants sets up images of kitchens staffed by machines that have been instructed, this does not accurately represent the technology's actuality. The most common ways in which artificial intelligence is impacting restaurant operations are by reducing the number of errors caused by humans, managing increasing expenses, improving production accuracy, adhering to safety regulations, and redefining the customer experience within the restaurant. Restaurant owners and administrators can take advantage from artificial intelligence procedures that are designed to enhance capacity, enhance forecasting precision, and expedite production while concurrently stimulating development. Additionally, devices that are equipped with virtual assistants and artificial intelligence may be assigned the responsibility of effectively managing client conversations, reservations, and suggestions, in addition to providing customized ordering. This paper offers a comprehensive examination of the methods that have been employed to integrate AI into virtual restaurant platforms, and is dedicated to the development of an intelligent customer order management platform that efficiently streamlines the order process by utilizing AI technology. The paper illustrates the proposed virtual restaurant platform that is based on AI, and explains its distinct features and functions. The proposed virtual restaurant platform is designed with the objective of enhancing the customer ordering experience, enabling customers to personalize their chosen meals, and enhancing the operational efficiency of restaurants.
