Virtual modified nominal group technique on assessing fitness for work at heights in the South African construction industry

Abstract

This dataset contains the quantitative data generated during a virtual Modified Nominal Group Technique (vMNGT) conducted as part of a PhD study on assessing fitness for work at heights (FFWAH) in the South African construction industry. Six interdisciplinary expert participants — comprising occupational medical practitioners, occupational health nurses, an occupational therapist, and a construction health and safety practitioner — completed an anonymous structured consensus survey via Qualtrics immediately following a facilitated online discussion. The survey comprised 27 rating items across 10 sections of a draft interdisciplinary consensus statement, rated on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). Data were analysed using descriptive statistics (medians and interquartile ranges using the Tukey method in Stata v18.0 BE) against predefined consensus thresholds. The dataset includes the raw Qualtrics CSV export, the Qualtrics data report, and the Stata statistical analysis report.
