Validation of lean PLM implementation models- A Survey-Based Study at an Automotive Manufacturer in Morocco

Abstract

This study focuses on the validation of two distinct models, one addressing Lean Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) in the traditional manufacturing industry, and the other in the context of Industry 4.0, through a comprehensive survey conducted at an automotive manufacturer in Morocco. Lean PLM practices are pivotal for streamlining product development and lifecycle management, and their effectiveness varies across different industrial settings. By gathering responses from professionals and stakeholders within the automotive sector, this research aims to validate the practical application of these models in the specific context of a Moroccan automotive manufacturer. The results provide valuable insights into the role of Lean PLM in both traditional and Industry 4.0 environments, offering guidance for enhancing operational efficiency and innovation in the automotive industry. This research contributes to a deeper understanding of Lean PLM’s adaptability and effectiveness across different manufacturing paradigms.
