Obstacle detection radar is a crucial component in all types of vehicles to prevent collisions. For high-performance detection, vehicle radar antennas must have high efficiency. For this reason, the aim of this paper is to design a miniaturized array antenna with high radiation performance and long-range detection capability for simultaneously transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals. The proposed array antenna consists of two parallel linear array antennas, each composed of multiple rectangular serial antennas. The first array is used for transmission, while the second is used for reception at the same frequency. The designated frequency range for this work is 76 GHz–77 GHz, known as the 77 GHz automotive radar band. A comprehensive comparison of simulated results is conducted in terms of S-parameters and radiation. The results demonstrate good agreement between simulation methods, validating the success of the proposed design approach.
