Towards a Sustainable Supply Chain

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive market, organizations seek to optimize their Supply Chain by integrating the three essential pillars of Sustainable Development: economic, environmental and social. Thus, companies aspiring to SC Maturity Management are able to cope with unforeseen disruptions thanks to their level of mastery of operational processes, in order to have Increased Sustainability. This work aims to explore a Literature Review on the theoretical foundations of SC Sustainability and the key factors of this sustainability. Then this work examines how this Maturity influences the Logistics Performance. Finally, we will evaluate the link between Sustainability and Maturity SC. According to our RL we found that Sustainability can be considered as a key factor in order to achieve a very high level of SC Maturity. In short, this fusion between SC Maturity and Sustainability inspires logistics of extraordinary efficiency and improves the overall performance of organizations.
