The voltammetry behavior was investigated in this work by varying the potentials of CuCl2 in the sodium chloride electrolyte. When succinic acid was present in 0.1 M NaCl-strong electrolyte solutions and distinct redox peaks were seen for each salt, cyclic voltammetry was employed. Since various selective peaks appeared upon application, a gold-working electrode was used for this study. The various scan rates were examined both with and without succinic acid. The study used salt alone. Utilizing a gold 18-Karat working electrode impacted by an Au metal electrode, the catalytic oxidation of succinic acid was investigated. Based on cyclic voltammetry data, Tafel slopes were applied for cupric chloride salt both alone and in the presence of succinic acid, and a potential mechanism for redox reactions was proposed. The novelty of this work is to use the Tafel plot graphical representation to explain the kinetic and mechanism of electrocatalytic reaction of cupric ions with succinic acid in strong electrolyte NaCl.
