In our work, we provide an analytical and numerical study of the propagation of electromagnetic waves in a structure made from two dielectric cylindrical waveguides bounded by identical semi-infinite cylindrical substrates. Based on the transfer matrix method (TMM) which permits the description of electromagnetic wave properties and evaluation of their resonance frequencies over geometric and material properties like radius, length as well as permittivity. Based on the findings presented in this study, a trend towards lower frequencies in transmission spectra results from extension cylindrical waveguides radius while other determinants such as permittivity and length are responsible for the adaptation of resonant frequency. The cut-off frequency is an important point after which wave propagation stops. These results are crucial for the optimization of cylindrical waveguides and the progress of future applications.
