The Contribution of Quality of Life at Work to Organizational Flexibility in Air Transport

Abstract

The contribution of quality of life at work (QLW) to organizational flexibility is particularly strong in the air transport sector, given that these two variables are a major determinant of responsiveness and performance in disruptive environments. In other words, quality of life at work promotes adaptability and, therefore, the ability of teams and, more broadly, human resources to manage operational uncertainties. This study aims to assess the impact of QWL, with its six dimensions (availability of a healthy and appropriate work environment, participation in decision-making, salaries, bonuses and incentives, leadership and supervision style, professional development and training programs, and complaints and grievances), on the level of organizational flexibility at Royal Air Maroc (RAM) airline company. 300 questionnaires were distributed to a sample of employees in the company, and 280 questionnaires were analyzed using certain statistical tests such as multiple regression and simple regression.
