Technology-Integrated Inquiry-Based Learning in South African Classrooms

Abstract

In order to provide readers with an overview of, and to summarize, the content of the chapter, the purpose of the research discussed is stated as to gain an understanding of technology integration in an inquiry-based learning (IBL) classroom, concerning how South African Grade 12 Life Sciences teachers use relevant technologies to accommodate their learners' needs, difficulties, and cognitive capabilities. Against the background of the power of persuasive educational technologies in enhancing learning, the chapter will discuss e.g., games and gamification, higher education, early childhood education and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
