This study examines the impact of teamwork on time performance in construction projects in Jalingo, Taraba State, Nigeria. Using a descriptive and correlational research design. Data were collected from a sample of 165 construction professionals, through structured questionnaires. The findings reveal that effective teamwork, characterized by clear communication, well-defined roles, strong team cohesion, and supportive leadership, significantly contributes to meeting project timelines. Poor communication, unclear roles, inadequate resource allocation, and weak leadership were identified as major barriers to effective teamwork, leading to delays and inefficiencies in project execution. Correlation analysis confirmed that variables such as communication, role clarity, and team cohesion are strongly positively correlated with time performance, emphasizing their importance in ensuring timely project completion. Based on these findings, the study recommends that construction firms should prioritize communication, role clarity, and leadership development, and implement strategies to enhance team cohesion.
