Synthesis of Novel Acetamide, Acrylamide, Pyrazole, and Pyridine Derivatives Comprising Benzothiazole Moiety as Antioxidant Agents

Abstract

The synthesis of 2-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-N-arylacetamide derivatives was achieved by cyclocondensation reaction of 2-aminothiophenol and different cyanoacetamide derivatives in solvent free condition and without any catalyst. The resultant products were used as a precursor for synthesis novel acetamide, acrylamide, pyrazole and pyridine derivatives via reaction with different reagents. All reaction products have been tested for their antioxidant activities compared with ascorbic acid. Some on novel synthesized products furnished promising results.
