Supplementary Audio Data: Sonification of Critical Fractal Interpolation Functions on the Koch Curve

2026Open accessMohamed I University

Abstract

This dataset contains auditory sonifications of the Energy-Based Fractal Interpolation Functions (EB-FIF) defined on the Koch curve. These audio files serve as supplementary material for the research paper titled "Structural Uniqueness and the Box Dimension of some Critical Fractal Interpolation Functions on the Koch Curve". Methodology: Unlike stochastic noise simulations, these signals were generated using the exact deterministic zigzag construction described in the paper (Proposition 2.1). The fractal function values h(x) were mapped linearly to audio amplitude at a sampling rate of 44.1 kHz, traversing the domain parameter x at constant speed.
