In many hospitals in low-resource settings, the management of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment relies on manual or fragmented semi-digital processes, limiting traceability and coordination. This paper presents the methodology adopted to design and implement a prototype integrated information system supporting hospital logistics management in Burkina Faso. A qualitative needs assessment was conducted at Bogodogo University Hospital using semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. Based on the identified requirements, a modular web-based prototype was developed, integrating inventory monitoring, equipment tracking, dashboards, alert mechanisms, and role-based access control. The results demonstrate the technical feasibility of a centralized digital tool adapted to local operational constraints and highlight its potential to improve visibility and coordination of logistical information. This work constitutes a context-specific proof of concept rather than an evaluation of operational or clinical impact.
