Spatio-temporal response of a migratory shorebird community reflects complex trade-offs amongst an overabundance of predators and disturbance

Abstract

This dataset compiles multi-year ecological observations on shorebird foraging dynamics across habitats. It includes species- and season-specific records linked to habitat type and area, along with intake rate. It also includes shorebird, species, prey, predator, disturber, and waste densities, as well as attack rates and species abundance. Together, the data support analyses of how habitat characteristics and ecological interactions influence shorebird intake rates over time.
