Intelligent materials are used to create novel biomaterials that can recognize and respond to environmental cues, as well as perform specific tasks for modern medicine and sustainability. There are a wide range of applications for intelligent biomaterials, from ecological restoration to health. In reaction to physical, chemical, and biological stimuli, intelligent biomaterials can change their properties. Hydrogels have garnered a lot of attention and the incorporation of decellularized tissues into the hydrogel synthesis process exhibits a number of benefits. The development of smart/intelligent response polymeric biomaterials for novel biomedical applications is the focus of this review.
