<title>Abstract</title> The performance and design of reinforced concrete, also known as slender beams are explained in the current study by a number of international codes. Slender beams are essential in modern construction because they preserve structural integrity while allowing for efficient material use. According to standards like ECP, ACI, Eurocode, CSA, BS, and JSCE, the study examines the shear design requirements, load resistance factors, and reinforcing details. By comparing different codes, the study demonstrates differences in methods for determining shear capacity, minimum reinforcement requirements, and serviceability restrictions. Additionally, discussed are how different design methodologies affect the overall performance of thin beams under varied loading conditions. The results are intended to help academics and engineers make better design decisions and increase the efficiency and safety of applications for thin beams in building.
