In recent years, the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) revolutionized healthcare by enabling continuous monitoring and real-time data collection from patients. However, the transmission of information over open channels exposes these networks to potential attacks. Moreover, quantum computing poses a significant risk to the existing encryption algorithms. Although current security solutions mitigate conventional attacks, few effectively address quantum threats. This study proposes a secure remote user authentication scheme for IoMT that integrates post-quantum security using Kyber public-key encryption (Kyber-PKE) and smart contracts to ensure a decentralized and efficient authentication process. Formal security verification using the Automated Validation of Internet Security Protocols and Applications (AVISPA) tool, along with a comparative analysis of the computational cost, energy consumption, and security features, demonstrates that the proposed scheme is both robust and efficient, making it suitable for diverse IoMT applications.
