Remark from Conference Advisor

Abstract

We are pleased to host an IEEE-approved 2024 International Conference on Emerging Trends in Networks and Computer Communications (ETNCC) at our institute from July 23 to 25, 2024. We hope the conference will provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research in the emerging area of technology and help the participants to update their knowledge. I am glad to note that the Faculty of Computing and Informatics research day is being organised in conjunction with the conference. The Faculty Research Day, in conjunction with the African Research Symposium (ARS), is an annual event that provides an excellent opportunity for students and faculty to showcase their research activities or applied practice experiences with fellow researchers and the community. This is part of the ETNCC, where an international congregation of researchers meets to showcase their state-of-the-art outputs. The research day is a great platform to showcase the rigorous academic research work our staff and students are undertaking in the various computing and informatics fields, which has economic and societal benefits that could be harnessed to address some of the topical issues facing us today. The Faculty Research Day 2024 which consists of an inaugural session, Keynote speeches, the African Research Symposium (ARS), Workshop on High Performance Computing for Coastal Modelling and FCI Research Seminar. The African Research Symposium program includes invited talks and oral contributions from FCI and African researchers. I am happy to know that a workshop on High-Performance Computing for Coastal Modelling will be organised in collaboration with NAMDEB in response to key shifts in global economies in the Afternoon and develop local competence in the software application related to Coastal Modelling in Namibia.
