Entrepreneurship education is an educational programme designed for the training of individual learners for the acquisition of skills. Nigeria as a developing country adopted this type of educational programme to enhance her economic development. But the question is whether the country's economy has actually benefited from this programme. Despite its inclusion in Nigerian educational curriculum at all levels for many years now the economy seems to be dwindling. The paper addressed the need to rebrand entrepreneurship education in Nigeria tertiary institutions for national economic development. The paper focused on the concept of entrepreneurship education, role of entrepreneurship education in economic development, objectives of entrepreneurship education, status of entrepreneurship education in tertiary institution, challenges of entrepreneurship education in tertiary institution, rebranding of the entrepreneurship education programme in Nigerian tertiary institution for national economic development, Conclusion and recommendations were drawn accordingly.
