Radio Frequency-Based Breast Cancer Detection System: Design and Implementation

Abstract

The Antipodal Vivaldi antennas play a crucial role in medical applications, particularly in microwave imaging, owing to their remarkable wideband characteristics and efficient radiation properties. In the context of breast cancer detection, these antennas have demonstrated substantial importance by enabling precise tumor localization and characterization. This capability enhances early diagnosis, ultimately leading to improved patient outcomes. This paper introduces an innovative breast cancer detection system with a focus on a meticulously designed and tested prototype. Central to the system's efficacy are the integrated Antipodal Vivaldi antennas, renowned for their wideband characteristics. The goal is to advance breast cancer diagnostics, particularly in precise tumor localization, with the ultimate aim of improving early diagnosis and patient care outcomes.
