Abstract

The title compound (systematic name: pyridinium 4-methyl-benzene-sulfonate), C5H6N+·C7H7O3S-, is the pyridinium salt of <i>para</i>-toluene-sulfonic acid. In the crystal, classical N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds as well as C-H⋯O contacts connect the cationic and anionic entities into sheets lying parallel to the <i>ab</i> plane.
