The healthcare sector stands to benefit greatly from the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. IoT-based healthcare systemscan offer personalized care services without restrictions on time or location, enhancing patient well-being. However, ensuring robust data protection and security remains a significant challenge in IoT deployments. To address this, we propose an integrated solution that leverages Ethereum blockchain and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) mechanism. This approach ensures the integrity and transparency of healthcare data, while providing fine-grained access controls. The sensitive data is encrypted using Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and stored in a decentralized manner on the Interplanetary File System (IPFS). This enhances the overall security and privacy of the system. Furthermore, all transactions within the system are recorded on the blockchain, ensuring the traceability of the processes. Finally, we carry out experiments to assess the performance aspects of the proposed framework.
