The question addressed: This study seeks to characterize the specific mechanisms, injury patterns, and clinical outcomes of trauma cases among children and adolescents (aged 0–18) treated at two tertiary hospitals in the South-West Region. What the study brings new: The research identifies road traffic accidents (48.7%) and falls (24.6%) as the primary causes of injury, with distinct age-related trends such as a high prevalence of burns in children under 4 and road injuries among adolescents.
