In this paper, the proposed theoretical framework for the synchronization of bidirectionally coupled discrete-time hyperchaotic systems is based on Borne and Gentina stability criteria associated with the Benrejeb arrow form matrix system description to derive sufficient conditions for the synchronization of the studied systems. Through this approach, analytical conditions are established to ensure the convergence of the synchronization error to zero. The case of the synchronization of linearly bidirectionally coupled hyperchaotic Hénon maps is studied to show the efficiency of the proposed approach.
