On Secure Hybrid RF-FSO MIMO-NOMA Systems With Colluding and Non-Colluding Eavesdroppers

Abstract

In this letter, we investigate the secrecy performance of a mixed radio frequency-free-space optical artificial noise (AN)-aided multiple-input-multiple-output–non-orthogonal multiple access system with imperfect successive interference cancelation in the presence of multiple colluding and non-colluding eavesdroppers. Capitalizing on the derived statistical expressions, novel and accurate closed-form analytical expressions of the secrecy performance metrics are obtained and validated through Monte Carlo simulations. The obtained results reveal the effectiveness of the AN injection against both eavesdropping scenarios.
