Nanofungicidal and Other Activities of Cyclopiagenistoides

2024Open access

Abstract

The effect of plants diseases in reducing the overall agricultural yield has been well documented. At global scale, huge amount of fund is used in the treatment of various diseases in plants with a view to boosting the overall agricultural yield. Various techniques have been adopted curbing plant diseases caused by various groups of microorganisms, and agricultural pests. Pesticides applications have been adopted for a long in managing pests and diseases. However due to the inherent limitations in the use of pesticides and the environmental and health impacts, researchers have attempted to explore various alternatives that are environmentally friendly. The present chapter discusses the nanofungicidal and other activities of Cyclopiagenistoides. It highlights the role of cyclopiagenistoides synthesized flavonoids in nanotechnology, its bioactivity, antipyretic effects, cardiovascular effects and anticancer effects. Finally the hypoglycemic, hypolipidemic, hepatoprotective and anti-ulcer effects of Cyclopiagenistoides are also attempted.
