Multiple aggregated yellow-white globules: a basal cell carcinoma dermoscopic feature in the skin of color

20241 citationOpen accessMohammed V University

Abstract

Multiple aggregated yellow-white (MAY) globules were initially described as highly specific for high-risk non-pigmented basal cell carcinoma (BCC), but recent studies revealed that they are a significant dermoscopic criterion for diagnosing BCC, regardless of histological subtype or pigmentation. Through this prospective study, we aimed to describe the dermoscopic features of pigmented BCCs in a Moroccan population, especially the MAY globules, and to correlate them with the histological subtype.
