Modeling of Electromagnetic Wave Propagation in Graphene

Abstract

In this paper, An effective method for Transmission Line Matrix modeling of graphene as a conducting sheet is proposed, this method can be implemented to model the graphene intraband conductivity for device applications at terahertz frequencies. An accurate Equivalente Circuit Model approach of graphene sheet suspended in vacuum is also proposed and used for obtaining analytical expression for the input impedance of the proposed structure. Validation of the method is achieved by providing numerical simulations examples and comparison with those obtained using existing analytical results and Equivalente Circuit Model solutions.
