Bisheterocycle and their derivatives are an interesting class of organic compounds due not only to their potent biological and pharmacological activities but also to their coordination chemistry applications. The methods of synthesis of these bisheterocyles attracted great attention in the last decades. New synthetic methods have been reported and they are also used as intermediates precursors in organic synthesis. In this review, we present some synthetic routes of bisheterocyclic systems derived from bispyrone, bispyrazole, and bispyridones.
