It offers a comprehensive framework that integrates advanced chemical profiling and biological assays. Various spectroscopic and hyphenated techniques used for characterization of herbal medicines are discussed, as well as common assays used for validating herbal formulations' medicinal properties. The use of spectroscopy for standardization, quality control, and safety assessment of herbal formulations is also covered.
