Innovative Designs for One-Piece Clothing Inspired by the Textures and Color of Textile structures, Macramé and Carpet Stitches

2026Open accessTanta University

Abstract

Social ideals and youth curiosity shape fashion. Technology aids product design, balancing form and function. New designs in kids' garments are important for fashion. Computers can swiftly alter images and designs, switch between apps, and have a broad vision, making them ideal for developing one-piece textile prints. They help designers connect one-piece textile printing to production engineering standards with simple accuracy and visibility. Polyester was tested for textile printing. Transfer printing sublimated and thermofixed the ink from paper to polyester fiber. Design research examined how wool and cotton threads affect non-woven fabric structures (macrame). The design experiment examined the interdependence and harmony of non-woven fabric stitches, thread kinds, and color distribution to balance and enrich the artwork. The six-color experiment was shown in several garment designs. The results revealed that computers can improve one-piece textile print design and aesthetics. A questionnaire to fashion and apparel design experts was used for statistical evaluation. Ten experts evaluated the designs and entered data for statistical processing and findings. "Cronbach's Alpha" was used to calculate the questionnaire's validity and reliability coefficients. Results demonstrated that the questionnaire's axes were valid and consistent with real replies, with correlation coefficients near to one.
