This study aimed to evaluate the effect of different finishing and polishing systems (one-step, two-step, and multi-step) and the application of a diamond polishing paste on color stability, surface roughness, and surface morphology of a CAD/CAM composite block. A total of seventy-seven blocks from eight composite CAD/CAM blocks were used in this study. They were divided into three main groups (22 each) according to the different finishing and polishing systems used one-step, two-step, or multi-step systems. In addition to these groups, the control group (n = 11) has no treatment. Depending on whether the polishing paste was used, each group was divided into two subgroups (11 each), except for the control group. Regarding the color change and surface roughness, all groups were statistically different from the control with a p-value <0.0001. The two-step finishing and polishing system in combination with polishing paste is considered the most efficient finishing and polishing protocol to improve the surface color stability, roughness, and morphology of resin composite CAD/CAM blocks
