Improving the mechanical properties of mortar using magnetized water

Abstract

The impact of magnetic water on mortar's mechanical characteristics is examined in this study. in contrast to control samples made with tap water, experimental results showed that mortar made with magnetized water significantly improved its compressive and flexural strength, increasing by 20% to 24%. The best conditions for water magnetization were determined to be a water flow velocity of 0.6 meters per second and an electromagnetic field exposure of 40 µT for 40 minutes. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to confirm that these results were statistically significant (p < 0.05). Based on these findings, mortar's structural performance can be enhanced and durability can be increased without compromising the sustainability of the material by adding magnetized water.
