Abstract

Considering the significant challenges that the digital revolution must face to succeed in implementation in hazardous mining environments, an overview was presented on the history of the technological revolution in the mining industry as well as the importance of automation in mining logistics with a focus on improving the health and well-being of workers.The advancement of technology has enhanced several elements of mining operations, including safety, production, emergency response, communication, and the processing and transportation of minerals. The development of technology has been vital in preventing mining dangers and increasing mine productivity.This document summarizes the overall improvements in the mining sector over time, particularly in mining logistics, and how these advancements in technology have contributed to lower dangers and risks in workplaces.
