Hybrid Precoder Design with 1-bit DACs for mmWave Massive MIMO Systems

20241 citationAssiut University

Abstract

mmWave massive MIMO systems will be used extensively in future communications systems to enable the increasing demand for high data rates. In such systems, hybrid precoders are preferred to fully digital precoders to decrease the cost and energy consumption. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm to design hybrid precoders for fully connected architectures working with low-resolution digital-to-analogue converters (DAC) at low signal-to-noise ratios (SNR). Simulation results show that the proposed al-gorithm offers higher spectral efficiency compared to existing algorithms in the literature.
