Distribution system network reconfiguration involves the optimization of the configuration of electrical distribution networks to enhance their performance, reliability, and efficiency. In this research work, distribution networks can be designed to automatically reconfigure themselves in response to faults, load changes, or other disturbances. This automatic reconfiguration can help minimize outage durations and improve system reliability. The hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation results can significantly improve distribution networks' flexibility, reliability, and efficiency.
