High-resolution images of medicinal Asteraceae species used in patent landscape analysis and phytochemical research

Abstract

This dataset contains representative photographic images of eight medicinal and aromatic plant species belonging to the Asteraceae family. These species are frequently reported in ethnopharmacological studies and have attracted increasing attention in research and patent development related to natural products, phytochemistry, and bioactive compounds. The images were compiled to provide visual documentation of the plant taxa discussed in the associated scientific article addressing the patent landscape and innovation trends of Asteraceae-derived natural products. Each image illustrates the characteristic morphological features of the corresponding species, facilitating botanical identification and contextual understanding for readers. The dataset includes images of the following species: · Cichorium intybus L. · Achillea millefolium L. · Artemisia herba-alba Asso · Calendula officinalis L. · Tagetes minuta L. · Senecio leucanthemifolius Poir. · Anvillea radiata Coss. & Dur. · Anacyclus pyrethrum (L.) Lag. These images are intended for scientific illustration purposes in publications focusing on medicinal plants, natural products chemistry, pharmacognosy, and innovation studies.
