Abstract

This chapter discusses natural compounds recognized for their antiaging properties and describes the underlying mechanisms of action, providing a concise synopsis of studies on the efficacy of herbal extracts in antiaging products. The potential of certain herbal extracts, such as green tea, ginkgo, licorice, Aloe vera, and ginseng, in treating various signs of aging has been investigated in response to the growing demand for natural alternatives. Their mechanisms of action, which primarily target antioxidant defense, collagen production, and cellular repair, explain how they reduce oxidative stress, improve skin elasticity, and promote cellular rejuvenation. The chapter then discusses future trends and issues and proposes potential solutions.
