Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes, and chronic respiratory conditions are leading causes of morbidity and mortality globally. The increasing availability of health data and advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science offer significant opportunities to improve NCD management. This review explores key AI and data science approaches, including machine learning (ML) for predictive analytics, natural language processing (NLP) for analyzing unstructured health data, and big data technologies for real-time monitoring. Additionally, the role of AI in personalized medicine and treatment optimization is discussed. While AI-driven innovations have the potential to transform healthcare, challenges such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and technical limitations must be addressed. The paper also provides recommendations for enhancing AI applications in NCD management, emphasizing collaboration between healthcare providers, technologists, and policymakers.
