According to Ambassador Albert Muchanga, the African Union's Commissioner for Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry, and Minerals, digital technologies could present Africa with a significant opportunity to open new avenues for swift, equitable economic growth and the creation of jobs. For Africa, digital transformation has the potential to be revolutionary. It is a chance to advance industrialization and economic growth while reducing poverty and enhancing people's quality of life. Utilizing digital services and technology will support Agenda 2063 of the African Union. Digital technology can spur innovation, economic growth, and employment creation in many critical economic sectors. It also makes African markets more interconnected with the rest of the world and with each other.
