This dataset contains the raw and processed analytical data supporting the study of the Campano-Maastrichtian Mamu and Ajali Formations in the northern Anambra Basin, Nigeria. The study integrates traditional granulometric analysis with high-resolution Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX), and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to refine paleoenvironmental reconstructions. The repository includes the following four components: 11. Excel/CSV sheets containing raw sieving data and cumulative frequency distribution values for 17 representative samples (sandstones, siltstones, and ironstones) from the Odagbo, Egume, and Iyale sections. 22. A comprehensive table of calculated textural parameters based on the Folk and Ward (1957) graphical method, including Graphic Mean (MZ), Inclusive Graphic Standard Deviation (σI), Skewness (SkI), and Kurtosis (KG). 33. Elemental weight percentages (Si, Al, Fe, C, O) obtained from point-analyses on individual quartz grains and diagenetic phases via SEM-EDX. 4. The Python script (compatible with Google Colab/Jupyter) used to perform the Principal Component Analysis.
