FLOD-Africa v1.0 provides monthly inundation extent across Africa from 1984 to 2024 at high spatial resolution (10–30 m). The dataset supports basin- to national-scale analyses of flood dynamics and consists of two components: FLOD-Africa-LS, derived from Landsat imagery at 30 m resolution, and FLOD-Africa-S2, derived from Sentinel-2 imagery at 10 m resolution. All data are distributed as GeoTIFF files at their native spatial resolutions. The data are organized into subfolders named by country using ISO3 codes. Files are named in YYYYMM.tif format. For example: /AGO/198404.tif, 198405.tif, …, 202412.tif. The dataset is currently being updated through 2024.
