False Aneurysm of the Radial Artery Revealing a Pediatric Behçet’s Disease: Rare Finding and Review of the Literature

Abstract

Abstract Behçet’s disease is a complex, multi-systemic vasculitis of unknown etiology, characterized by a variety of clinical features, including cutaneous, mucosal, ocular, vascular, articular, neurological and gastrointestinal manifestations. Aneurysmal lesions respond poorly to medical treatment, and surgery is mandatory. We report the case of a 13-year-old child who presented to the emergency department with a ruptured left false radial aneurysm treated surgically with an etiological diagnosis of Behçet’s disease.
