This systematic review examines exemplary formative assessment practices in science education, synthesizing empirical studies published between 2020 and 2025. Focusing on K-12 and post-secondary classrooms across multiple countries, the review identifies effective strategies such as specific feedback, embedded assessments, peer interactions, and technology-enhanced tools, highlighting their positive impact on student learning, engagement, and conceptual understanding.
