Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence and Addressing Algorithmic Bias in Healthcare Cybersecurity

Abstract

This chapter critically interrogates the convergence of artificial intelligence ethics and cybersecurity governance as a socio-technical response to the escalating global menace of organ trafficking. It situates the discourse within the framework of ethical-by-design principles, emphasizing accountability, explainability, and justice as foundations for trustworthy AI deployment in healthcare systems. By adopting a co-creative approach involving healthcare administrators, policymakers, IT managers, and civil society actors, the chapter advances a holistic model of cybersecurity that transcends technical protection to encompass moral stewardship and institutional integrity. It contends that embedding ethical intelligence into cybersecurity architectures transforms digital defense into a proactive ethical ecosystem that safeguards human life, reinforces transparency, and restores trust in global digital health infrastructures.
