Enabling Corporate Brand Awareness and Consumer Buying Intentions

Abstract

Petroleum products companies are essential for daily life and economic activities, fuelling sectors such as transportation, manufacturing, and household use. To improve consumer purchasing intentions for these products, companies have adopted strategies like modifying prices, implementing loyalty programs, and ensuring quality. Despite these initiatives, there has been a noticeable decline in consumer purchasing intentions. In a competitive locale like Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria, it is important to investigate how corporate brand awareness affects consumer purchasing intentions for petroleum products companies in order to gain insights that can help address this decline. The chapter concludes that corporate brand awareness has a vital and positive impact on consumer purchasing intentions for petroleum products companies in the Lekki area of Lagos State. The chapter suggests that to leverage this influence, petroleum products companies in Lekki should focus on continuous brand-building efforts, including targeted advertising
