Efficient Modeling of Magneto-Elastic Media Using the Feedback Preisach Model

Abstract

Magnetic materials demonstrating relatively high magnetostriction are currently being widely employed in various applications. Several magnetostriction models that vary in quantitative accuracy, efficiency and identification approaches have been previously suggested. This paper presents an efficient approach for modeling magneto-elastic media by employing a single scalar feedback Preisach-type model. Details of the proposed approach, its identification procedure and experimental testing are given in the paper.
