Effect of Calcium, Magnesium Fertigation and Molybdenum Foliar Sprays on Yield and Fruit Quality of Flame Seedless Table Grape Cultivar

Abstract

This investigation was performed during 2018 and 2019 seasons in a private vineyard to study effect of calcium, magnesium fertigation and molybdenum foliar sprays on yield and fruit quality of Flame Seedless table grape cultivar. The experimental layout was arranged in a split plot design. The main plot was allocated by applying with calcium and magnesium fertilization including three doses of calcium oxide (0, 20 and 30kg /fed) in combined with three doses of magnesium oxide (0, 10 and 20kg /Fed), while the sub plot was occupied to foliar spray of molybdenum including three doses (0, 20 and 30ppm). All treatments were applied three times: after bud burst stage, at fruit set stage and at veraison stage. The results showed that the combined application of calcium plus magnesium fertigation at (30+20kg/Fed) and the foliar spraying of molybdenum at high dose (30ppm) is the most effective among all treatments in terms of enhancing vegetative growth traits, increasing leaf content of total chlorophyll and mineral elements as well as increasing yield and improving the physical characterizes of clusters and the physical and chemical properties of berries.
